The Harbor Campground

Campground Rules and Regulations
2008 SEASON

In an effort to promote fairness to all our guests the following rules and regulations have been established.

Please make a point to stop and let us know when you arrive and when you are leaving. Please advise your guests of these rules. ALSO REMEMBER: ONLY ONE VEHICLE PER SITE. We have provided a spacious guest parking space on the east side of the garages. Check in and out when leaving for more than 24 hours. This is extremely important for our guests who have seasonal boat slips.

DOCKS: Payment in full is required by January 31st to secure a spot on our permanent and temporary docks. The seasonal charge on our permanent docks is $300 + tax per year. Our temporary docks are $175 + tax per year. These docks are only offered to our seasonal guests at this price, so we encourage you to contact us to secure one for the 2008 season. For seasonal docks you are required to remove your boats and store on your sites, for times that you are not present for more than 24 hours. It is the responsibility of our seasonal dock guest to inform us when you will be here to prevent us from renting them to others. The daily docking fees will be $10 + tax for other then permanent and temporary docking guests. A waiting list/daily log book is available in the office for your convenience.

SPACES ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE. BOAT REGISTRATION NUMBERS AND A BRIEF DESCRIPTION WILL BE REQUIRED AT TIME OF RENTING YOUR SPACE. fORMS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE OFFICE OR WE WILL MAIL YOU ONE UPON REQUEST.

AUTOMOBILES AND TRUCKS: To avoid overcrowding, only one vehicle per site is allowed. Visitors and second vehicles are to be parked in the designated visitors’ parking spaces. Signs are marked on the east side of the garages. Visitors cannot drive in the park without checking in, and getting permission from the office. If someone needs assistance that you can provide with your vehicle, then please check in with the office before driving on the campground. If you are not able to help with your present vehicle, then contact the office and we will provide the assistance if we possible can.

FIREWORKS:  There will be NO FIREWORKS OR SPARKLERS ALLOWED on the campground. Violators will be asked to leave. This is a no tolerance policy.

CAMPFIRES: Building a campfire is a part of the camping experience. Please follow a few simple, but important rules. Keep fires a safe distance from trees and campers. Build fires only in the fire pits provided. Make sure fires are contained and out before you leave you site, even before retiring for the evening. All fire pits must be where no one can fall into them and must be accompanied with a fire ring. Please clean you pit before you leave, remove cans and bottles and other nonflammable items and dispose of properly. Ashes can be disposed of in the Harbor Campground Fire Pit located behind the Glen #12. Sitting around the campfire is a wonderful and fun experience for young and old, however loud singing and radio playing in excess is inconsiderate to the other campers. Please observe the 10:30 P.M. QUIET TIME RULE and keep the noise level within your campsite. There are a tremendous amount of early morning fisherman and golfers, so please respect your neighbors.

PETS:  All pets must be kept on a leash when outside your camper or tent. Please clean up after your pet and please understand that is your job, not ours or your neighbors. Please keep your pets off your neighbors’ site. Remember your pet is used to you and your family and may not react the same amongst other people. We encourage that you bring you pet and understand the joy a pet can bring to you. So please feel free to bring your pets. Doggie bags are available in the office.

GOLF CARTS:  No electric powered units will be allowed. We urge that common sense be used and rules of the road be observed during the operation of these vehicles. No four wheelers, three wheelers, go-carts, mopeds, or dirt bikes are permitted on the grounds. There will be no carts or any other recreational vehicles allowed after dark. It is much too dangerous at night. The Harbor Campground staff will continue to use our lighted carts for making rounds during the day and at night for your safety and to maintain our campground. Please prohibit the cart usage as a recreational vehicle, ie., racing or joy riding by children. Seasonal and guests 16 years or older should be observed as the rule for usage.

VISITORS/GUESTS:  ALL VISITORS AND GUESTS MUST CHECK IN WITH THE OFFICE. Visitors will not be required to pay a fee for visiting but will be assessed a fee for spending the night. No visitors without the owners present or the owners making previous arrangements with the office. There are no fees for 16 and under and all others
have a fee of $7.50 per person per night. The vehicle rule applies to all visitors, so please park in the designated area. Starting in 2007 single children of our Seasonals under 24 are free.

WATER:  No washing of vehicles is allowed, (cars and trucks). You can hose your boat down and we encourage you to hose your campers twice a year, but we ask not on Holidays and Weekends. No watering of shrubs, grass etc., without permission from the office.

TRASH:  The trash dumpsters are located on the east side of the garages. We will keep the screened in area for aluminum cans. Please ask if you have any questions about this rule or any other rules.

SELLING YOUR CAMPER:  Many of our guests want to upgrade or sell their trailers. ANY TRAILER SOLD WHILE ON OUR PROPERTY WILL BE CHARGED A 6% FEE. Minimum fee of $150.00. We have numerous requests for trailers and have a spot on the web that you can advertise them. The fee is $25 and is part of the 6% fee. If we negotiate the sale of your trailer to include the site it is your responsibility to return your site to its original condition upon moving. Moving and leveling the trailer will be the responsibility of the new and old owners.

YOUR SITE: The upkeep of your site is your responsibility. Please maintain your yard and keep it free from leaves during the season. Many of our seasonal guests work hard to maintain their site and get upset when others don’t. Removing the leaves and maintaining your site helps all the sites look good. If your site is not kept up then we will charge $50 for every time we have to maintain your site. Be a good neighbor and work together. Many seasonal help each other throughout the year, so meet your neighbors and work together to make our campground a beautiful place to come. If the management is forced to mow, clean or rake your leaves to ensure continuity amongst your neighbors, you will be charged $50 for each time we must mow, clean or rake your site.

HONEY WAGON : Rod will continue to pump twice a week this summer. His scheduled days are every Monday and Thursday, (Tuesdays following a holiday weekend). The sign-up sheet is on a clipboard located in the game room. The game room door is open 24 hours a day. It is your responsibility to sign up. From the sign up sheet, we will charge your account in our accounting office. Please keep your accounts current and pay every week or upon departure. We do not invoice.
